We all know that colors have the power to impact our moods, draw our attention and transform anything from looking dull and boring to more fun and exciting.
If added to some specific urban elements, colors can completely transform a city’s atmosphere and make it look vibrant, young and dynamic.
Whether you want to transform a city into an explosion of bright and vivid colors or simply add a few colorful elements to some places, there are many ways in which you can spice up a city’s look and make it cool and trendy.
Here are some of our suggestions that you can follow to make a city more colorful.

Splashes of color with small details: if you don’t want to overdo it with colors, you can still achieve that fresh and vibrant look by adding color to small-sized pieces of street furniture. Waste bins and trill-grills are a great solution: if you choose them in one of their colored options, you’ll add colorful details to squares and street without being too obtrusive.

Today more than ever, street furniture in public places is subject to high expectations in terms of performance and quality, but effective urban planning should also obtain a sense of harmony, ingenuity, and uniquess.

Children love spending time in parks, and we all know they are attracted to colors more than anyone else. By simply adding a few colorful benches, you’ll give off a young and fun vibe and make parks the best spots for kids to hang out in.

The design solution that simplifies operations of personal sanitization and waste disposal. Sanification Point is a practical and elegant solution suitable for indoor use. It is designed to be, at the same time, a hand sanitization station, and a distribution point for devices to protect against COVID-19, such as disposable gloves, masks, or wipes. It is simple and intuitive to use, and specific pictograms can be applied for a visual indication. The system also includes a proper litter bin with a steel inner liner, to ease the collection and disposal of waste. Thanks to appropriate pre-arranged holes on the front side, the station can be equipped with a battery powered automatic dispenser of hand-sanitizer or with a stainless steel universal bottle-holder.

An interesting urban redevelopment project was commissioned to City Design by the town Montebelluna (TV), involving the enhancement of Piazza D’Annunzio and Via Manzoni, the historic focal points of the town as they were once the venue for the town’s market.

The new architectural style of the square is inspired by the history of this Veneto town: the square has been transformed into a pedestrian area, which has been enhanced by installing a system of lampposts, feather-shaped sail shades and benches in Via Manzoni.

The entire concept of urban furniture has been completely overhauled, employing shapes and structures inspired by themes central to this market town’s history. The street lamps in fact have been designed to resemble ears of wheat, while the concrete seats are shaped like grains of wheat.
